How to Add a Gateway to a Site
Step 1: Log In and Scan Site
Log into the System using your administrator or user credentials.
Locate the Site Name on your dashboard or homepage.
Click on the “Scan” Button next to the site name.
🔍 This will begin the scanning process to detect nearby gateways associated with that site.

Step 2: Go to the “Hubs” Section
After scanning is complete, the system will display any available devices near the selected site.
Tap on the “Hubs” tab at the top of the screen to switch from “Beacons” or “Tags” view.
You will now see a list of detected gateways (also called hubs), including their:
Name (e.g., HUBv2)
MAC Address
Signal Strength (dBm)
⚠️ Note:
Make sure the Gateway device is plugged in and the power is on before performing the scan. If the device is not powered, it will not appear in the list.

Step 3: Open Hub Configuration
From the Hubs tab, tap on the detected hub (e.g., HUBv2) to open its configuration panel.
You’ll be taken to the Hub Configuration screen, where basic information about the device is displayed:
Click on the “WiFi” option in the left-hand menu to continue setup.
Step 4: Connect the Hub to WiFi
Once you've clicked on the WiFi tab, you will be taken to the WiFi Settings screen.
The app will automatically scan for available networks and display them under “Available Networks.”
Tap on your desired WiFi network.
Enter the WiFi password and tap Connect.
Wait a few seconds for the hub to confirm the connection.
Unlike Android, iOS does not show available networks. Instead, you’ll need to:
Tap Save Data to initiate the connection.

Step 5: Confirm WiFi Connection
After entering your WiFi details and saving or connecting, the system will confirm whether the gateway has received and applied the settings.
Once you tap Connect, the app will show a loading message:
“Updating the WiFi Credentials”
After a few seconds, the message disappears, and the hub will be connected if credentials are correct.
After tapping Save Data, you'll return to the Dashboard.
A confirmation popup will display with a green tick:
✅ “Updating WiFi Credentials!”

Step 6: Verify Gateway Connection (LED Indicators)
Once the WiFi credentials have been updated, the gateway device will attempt to connect to the internet. You can verify the connection status using the LED light on the physical gateway.
If the gateway successfully connects to WiFi, the LED will begin blinking green.
If it fails to connect (e.g., wrong password or poor signal), the LED will blink yellow.
This status update happens automatically — no restart is required.
⚠️ Important:
Physically turn the gateway off and then back on to apply the WiFi changes.
